Tuesdays 6:51-7:20ish - AMP it up! This is a time of AM Prayer at Chik-Fil-A in Hoover Commons on Hwy 31.
Saturday, September 8 - Serve dinner at Jessie's Place 4:30-5:30 pm. Mark will handle the meal this month but could use a hand serving!
Wednesday, September 12 - VA Hospital. Be at DF by 5:30 pm. We need a couple of drivers so... step right up!
Sunday, September 16 - Meeting of all parents, students, and anyone else interested in our young people. We'll talk about this school year and next summer. Time and location TBA.
SHREK the 3rd tonite (Sat. 7.28) at the dollar theatre. We'll meet at the building at 7:30 and head on over, cos it starts at 7:45. We should be back at the building around 9:30 for those needing rides home.

Hear Ye Hear Ye
Come one come all to the End of the Summer Revenge of the Nerds Prom! Don your goofiest, most fun, most creative dorky prom costumes and come shake it down! Visit your nearest thrift store, your parents’ closet, or transform anything laying around the house into fabulous nerdy glamorousness! There will be prizes for the funniest/most innovative threads, and a prom queen and king will be announced. Invite your friends!
When: Monday night, 8:30pm.
Where: DF building
Bring: drink or a snack
Be prepared for: much dancing and merriment
The JH and HS girls' prayer time will be after the VA ice cream social tonight, at DF. We'll probably get back from the VA at approx. 7:30, we'll finish the prayer time around 8:30. Hope to see you there!

VA HOSPITAL this Wednesday 6/11
We'll head over to the VA and hang out with our friends there and serve ice-cream. If you have a guitar, a poem, a song, a piece of prose, a crazy human trick, magic trick, body contortion, whatever, bring it, and we'll provide some entertainment. Something to think about is how we can also serve the VA guys on Sunday mornings that are with us for worship.

HS guys THEOCENTRICS this Wed. nite 6/11 after the VA. We'll spend some time around the red table in prayer, read through the book of James, then take it to Chipotle for some tacos, chips and salsa, and conversation.
MAFIA/M.I.D./MANHUNT GAMES this Friday @7pm
We'll meet up at the bldg at 7pm, do some pricing and organizing for the yard sale, and then play some mafia, murder in the dark, and manhunt afterwards. We'll call it a nite by 9:30pm, b/c the next morning is the...
DF YARD SALE
Time to clean out the garage of all your useless stuff that would otherwise be donated to local dumpsters or thrift stores. Bring it up and put in in the HS room.

"We'll have it on Saturday, July 14th, from 7 to 12 (ish). If you'd like to donate anything, please bring it up to the DF building by Friday, that way we'll have time to go through and price everything before Sat. I suppose just start piling things in the HS room." See you then.
HS guys THEOCENTRICS tonite (Wed 6.27) @7:30 pm at el mesa rojo (the red table, for all you non-Honduran speaking guys) in the student room. Bring your Bible.
Theocentrics will be meeting every Wednesday night after the gathering for conversation, experiencing new forms of prayer, exploring the Sermon on the Mount and the letter of James , storytelling, watching videos, etc. Come hang out and let's seek the presence of our God together for about an hour and a half.
JH guys NIGHTSHIFT this FridayJH guys (entering 6th-8th) Nightshift @ the home of the Reals this Friday (6.29.07) @ 8:00pm. We’ll stay the night, wake up, eat a hearty pancake breakfast cooked by Chef LePriest, and head to the car wash up at the building from 10 am to 2pm.
Bring: swimsuit, towel, flashlight, sleeping bag and pillow, and a few bucks to cover snacks and breakfast, along with your Bible.
Here’s what to expect: some swim action, perhaps a movie, prayer, camping out in the gazebo, painting each others nails (just kidding, fellas), and talking about the story of God.
OCEAN'S 3:16 - "For God so loved the students at Disciples' Fellowship, that he gave them a beautiful beach in AL for their enjoyment." A spiritual retreat on the beach.

Ohhh laaadies...
Our first JH-HS prayer time is tonight (Tues) at 7pm at the building. I suppose it'll last about an hour. I shant be able to help out with rides tonight, so bum one from somebody--parents, strangers, whatever :)
