In HS class on Sunday AM, we continued the discussion on encouragement begun in the worship. Want to know what our high schoolers say encourages them?

(in no particular order)
  1. Words of encouragement: spoken, cards, letters. (especially when said by that "somebody special")
  2. Seeing the success of others around them
  3. When people around them agree with their thinking (affirmation that they aren't crazy for what they think)
  4. Good food
  5. Playing sports
  6. Seeing hard work pay off (scoring well on a test after studying hard)
  7. Being with others that have a lot of energy
  8. Music
  9. Just being with friends
  10. Of course, Jesus
Here are some of the things they will be doing to give encouragement to others this week:
  1. Talk to (name left off to protect the innocent) more
  2. Compliment friends
  3. Get real about some things with a friend
  4. Include others that don't seem to have many friends
  5. Help some friends with Chemistry
  6. Help others in sports
  7. Write anonymous letters to 3 friends
  8. Write (name left off to protect the innocent) a note
  9. Call friends sometime this week
  10. Tlak to someone at school I don't usually talk to
  11. Write all my friends a note
  12. Help someone in need this week
Remember.... it's always good to do good!
