HS guys THEOCENTRICS tonite (Wed 6.27) @7:30 pm at el mesa rojo (the red table, for all you non-Honduran speaking guys) in the student room. Bring your Bible.
Theocentrics will be meeting every Wednesday night after the gathering for conversation, experiencing new forms of prayer, exploring the Sermon on the Mount and the letter of James , storytelling, watching videos, etc. Come hang out and let's seek the presence of our God together for about an hour and a half.
JH guys NIGHTSHIFT this FridayJH guys (entering 6th-8th) Nightshift @ the home of the Reals this Friday (6.29.07) @ 8:00pm. We’ll stay the night, wake up, eat a hearty pancake breakfast cooked by Chef LePriest, and head to the car wash up at the building from 10 am to 2pm.
Bring: swimsuit, towel, flashlight, sleeping bag and pillow, and a few bucks to cover snacks and breakfast, along with your Bible.
Here’s what to expect: some swim action, perhaps a movie, prayer, camping out in the gazebo, painting each others nails (just kidding, fellas), and talking about the story of God.
OCEAN'S 3:16 - "For God so loved the students at Disciples' Fellowship, that he gave them a beautiful beach in AL for their enjoyment." A spiritual retreat on the beach.
Monday - Thursday, July 16-19. $110/person.

Lectio Live - Thursday nights, 7-8pm beginning this Thursday, June 28. Come and join us in an opportunity to practice the spiritual discipline of Lectio Divina.

Our first JH-HS prayer time is tonight (Tues) at 7pm at the building. I suppose it'll last about an hour. I shant be able to help out with rides tonight, so bum one from somebody--parents, strangers, whatever :)

guys make communion grape juice tonitefellas, if you'd like to join in the action, here's the deal. let's meet at the bldg at 7:45 tonite, crush the grapes and make juice, set up tables, and then watch a movie on the big screen and call it a night. i'll give rides home to those in the Pelham/Indian Springs region.
kickin it in Oak Mtn State Parkleave: from the bldg @ 9:30 am, Monday 6/11. we’ll return around 7pm to the bldg.
bring: big water bottle, swimsuit, towel, shoes/sandals you can hike in, sunscreen, Frisbees and other projectiles, and $5 (2 for park entrance, 3 for bratwurst/hotdog grill out for supper in the park)
be prepared to: swim, hike, grill out, learn a spiritual discipline, tame wild beasts, and perhaps have a paddle-boat race.
at some point, we'll hopefully do the treetop nature trail, hike to the falls, swim at the lake, and check out the wildlife rehab center. yippie-yo-kai-yay!

We'll meet at the building this Wednesday @ 5:30 and we'll serve ice-cream and listen to the stories of the veterans. We'll leave a bit early and get back to the building to plan for this Sunday's youth-led worship.
